Yan Quintana was born in Cuba. He moved to New York in his early 20s after attending college in Miami. He received his dental degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, and his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Quintana completed a six year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Columbia where he served as chief resident during his last year of training.
Dr Quintana practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. This includes extraction of teeth, dental implants, bone grafting both major and minor, and general anesthesia. Also included are the diagnosis and treatment of pathology, diagnosis and treatment of TM joint disease, jaw surgery in conjunction with orthodontic treatment, facial trauma, and cosmetic facial surgery including Botox and cosmetic fillers. His special interest is orthodontic jaw surgery. He admits his patients to New York Presbyterian. His goal is to provide surgical excellence, while making each and every patient as comfortable as possible.
